Is There a Law...

Is there a law against keeping a whale of a women so busy? Yikes! I keep telling myself that things are going to slow down. I think that the rest of the week will be pretty well focused on more organizing, tidying and getting things ready for the final inspection. We are hoping that we can have the inspector out here on Thursday or Friday... it'll be more like Friday more than likely. There are a few minor details that could get in the way of passing. Our electrician friend needs to come and do some things but can't get out here for another few weeks. He said that the inspector may want there to be a light in the attic. Go figure. So we are thinking that this should be the only thing that would fail us. James hopes to be here whenever he comes and the children and I will remain on the old side of the house, praying, on our knees, face down, in most humblest of hearts, with much thanksgiving for however the Lord wants this to turn out....but hopefully in our favor. Either way the outcome is, I think I shall cry. Either for having to wait or for happiness we can proceed to move over.

Well, I came on here to type a list of what I would like to get done tomorrow. My list is always overzealous in plans of what most certainly would be a dream to achieve. For the record, I usually achieve only 75% of my to do lists. But I always want to make sure that there's something in the plans just in case. So here's my wish, to do list for tomorrow.

  • wash, hang on line, take off line, fold and put away 4 loads of wash
  • work in the boys' room for 10 minutes.....gross alert here so beware: there's something very smelly in the boys' room. I am afraid.....very, very afraid. I must be strong though.
  • do my daily room maintenance and vacuum
  • clear and bleach countertops in the kitchen, wash dishdrainer and organize pantry
  • quick clean all three bathrooms
  • rake and bag trash in the backyard
  • get clothes and us ready for midweek worship services
  • pick up parrot cage from Freecycle
  • keep up dishes
  • cook three meals

While I am at it I want to go ahead and list a few things for Thursday as well.

  • daily bedroom maintenance
  • swish all toilets
  • quick tidy house (go into each room and spend only 3-5 minutes working as quickly as possible)
  • wash, hang out(if weather permits), taken down and fold 3-4 loads of wash
  • mow some lawn
  • sweep hall
  • finish raking and clearing yard of construction junk
  • keep up dishes
  • cook three meals
  • help James with whatever he needs to call inspector

Well, there's a tool missing to lay the laminate flooring and I am the official finder around here. I seem to have an eye for finding things quicker...or is that a "mama" thing?

Wow! These are long to do lists. I have to try to post mine next week. I have a bit of a contest going on my blog. Stop by and see if you would like to try it.
It is Friday afternoon and I am hoping and praying that all went well with the inspection.
Blessings,
Ruth
