Gardens, Braces and Just Life

Well, James has been off since Thursday and I can't believe these four days have gone so fast! It's been fun, though!

I declare, what did we do on Friday? Oh, we did yard work....mowing, weed eating, flower planting, and just enjoying the weather. I can't recall what all else. We did touch on school....a little. :D

Saturday we did chores in the early day and then the late day we were at a church social. We had some bad weather and discovered hail on the back deck when we got home that night.

Sunday we had the usual full, but good day at church. We did come home in between services so that was a nice break. The sermons were great, as usual. The series on prayer was wrapped up. For April, Pastor plans on preaching on the home.

Today we were up bright and early to get Samuel to his Orthodontist appointment. It went very well! He was in and out early and they said he was a great patient. Let's pray for no broken parts and pieces, which are typical but I am for setting records. Shall we? He goes back in another month for more work.

After that we went to get some pain meds and on to a bakery on the other side of the big city. We bought a bunch of bread to put in the freezer. We bought 50 loaves, some buns, rolls, bagels, english muffins....a lot for just $53. Nice! This should last us until our big shopping trip the beginning of June.

We grabbed a quick bite to eat as they said the sooner Samuel ate the better off he'd be. We came back home and then relaxed a bit, did some chores, cooked some meals and did not touch a book except for devotions.

So, tomorrow begin our school week for this week. It's almost 10:30pm and I'm quite tired. Have a blessed evening!

Hi Susan,
Glad Samuel did well getting his braces.
I know you loved the time off James had. I'm like you, love having my sweet husband home for extra days.
Thinking of you today and have you in my prayers.
Love you,
Cathy

Cathy, thank you! This braces deal is all new to us. He's pretty sore this morning but that was to be expected. I am ready for this to be over with...then it will be time for Jesse to have them! :D Praying and thinking of you too, friend.
Love you too,
Susan

I'm glad all went well with the braces. Folks around here had lots of hail on Saturday too. Some had 3 inches and another place about 1 hr from here had 6 inches. We only had rain, thank the Lord. Enjoy your day and God bless.

Donna, I am glad that you had only rain. Hail can do quite a bit of damage. Have a blessed day in the Lord as well.
