Tuesday

These past few days have been a bit more relaxed. I am glad for a little down time...well has down as it  can be with a house full of children. It's been nice.

Guess what. That person came back to our house yesterday. She asked if she could come in and talk. Her story totally changed. She said that someone right down the road was trying to get her to stay with her and that she wanted to go back home.  I told her that I could not talk, that I was busy. Truth be told, she scares me. I don't know her and hope she doesn't come back. So she asks which way to get back home. I told her which way and she sets off walking and trying to hitch a ride. An hour later she comes back with a bag that had toothpaste and some kind of hair product in a box. She said a cop gave it to her...bizarre. I told her that I couldn't help her and she needed to leave. At that time James pulled in, praise the LORD! I hope she doesn't come back.

I should have done some shelling and pickling today but I've been procrastinating. Perhaps tomorrow?
I just need a little break. So hopefully I'll be ready in full swing.

James worked for the HVAC company yesterday. The owner offered him some beef as they are about to get another cow. James said that he hopes to bring this home tonight. Yay! I am excited about this.

The children have been crazy as ever. They fill their days with chores, swimming, playing with the puppies, playing outside and watching various things off Netflix such as Dirty Jobs or classic movies. I have watched a few wonderful documentaries. Two that come to mind are Through Gates of Splendor and A Man Named Pearl. They are both wonderful! The second is of a man who sculpts topiaries and such on his 3 acres. We plan on going to see him as he is just a little over an hour away from our house. How neat is that! He invites people to come with no donations required but welcome. He also has his work displayed in front of our State Museum along with all throughout his home town of Bishopville. If you have Netflix, you may be interested in either of these documentaries. Another was of a Vietnamese-American who was adopted in the late 70s when she was 7 years old. She goes back to meet her biological mother and it turns out to be not such a good thing.

That's all for now, I guess! Blessings to you!

It is nice when things slow down. We are busy with picking raspberries now.

Through the Gates of Splendor is excellent. Not sure if you knew this but we live 30 minutes from the MAF headquarters. We love looking at the display there in the headquarters of the plane Nate Saint flew.

Have a wonderful evening with your family.

Hi Susan,
I think you are doing the right thing in asking this lady to leave.
You just never know about people which is sad to say.
Always love reading about your days my friend.
Thinking of you today and love ya,
Cathy

Wow! I can't believe she came back! It is a bit unsettling sometimes to have strangers come to your house over and over.

It does sound a little frightening about the lady coming back again and again. I'm glad your husband came home when he did. I will check out the documentaries you mentioned. They sound very interesting. Enjoy your day and God bless.
