Sunday September 9, 2012

I trust that you all are having a nice weekend! The temps are dropping here. I think it's suppose to be in the high 50s tonight! Fall is just around the corner

Yesterday I did not do much. I just did a load of laundry and cooked meals-- nothing else really.
Today is church as always, praise God! We also have choir practice at 5:00pm. I'm praying for us to have a great week in God's mercy and goodness.

Breakfast: cheese grits  $1

Lunch: tacos/tostadas, fried cabbage $5

Supper: chicken noodle soup and cornbread/crackers  $4

beverages: $1

total for today: $11

Under budget this month so far by: $18.25

Okay, Here's the recipe. It would have been easier to just send the link...but of course, I cant find it!
4 1/2 c oats,1 c flour,1 tsp baking soda,1 tsp vanilla,2/3 c melted butter,1/2 c honey,1/3 c brown sugar. Mix altogether and PRESS FIRMLY into a 9 x 12 pan (small). Bake 325 for 18 mins. cut into 18 bars, then cool. You can add in anything you want before baking. we have made these for years and everytime they are wonderful. I said earlier that we totaled them for $2.19. (based on our prices here in AZ) Hope ya'll like them as much as we do!

Hi, Susan! You are still doing really well with your menu/budget!

It is nice to hear there is medicine to keep chemo patients from being so sick at their stomachs. I hope your mom is able to eat and keep her weight up. It will be hard when she looses all her hair.

Have a great week with your family!
