Happy Saturday!

I trust that you all are having a very happy Saturday. Ours has been a big blessing. We began our day getting up and out early to hit some yardsales. Here are a few of the things we bought:

~two pairs of girls boots at .50 each. Both pair look like they've never been worn. The bottoms aren't even dirty.

~ a girl's patriotic dress $1
~ floor lamp $1
~ Coca Cola oblong ice bucket $1
~3 tins $1 total
~3 pillow shams .50 each
~spice rack filled with spices $1
~crocheted doilie $.25...was suppose to be but they threw it in for free
~desk $15 to put in the diningroom. I am typing at it right now. :D
~girl's alarm clock/ lamp $1
~ girl's umbrella .50
~ 2 pillows (red  chenille) for the couch. $1 each
~ shooting bow .50
~ 2 pairs of dress shoes for the 15 year old, $2 each
~ 2 throws for the couch...so soft...$9 for both
~ a light to install in the kitchen $6
~ protractor (spelled right?) This was needed for Dalton's school and it was a quarter. :D
~ 2 tennis rackets, both for $5

I am probably forgetting something but anyway, we got a lot and for not so much. That's the fun of yardsales. You never know what you'll find! It's the thrill of the hunt. :D Oh, we were also able to locate a big tent for our Pastor's family too. It was $35 but they may have talked them down. :D

Next we went and cleaned the church. With us all working together, we got it done in a cinch.

THEN we went to the chinese restuarant!!!!! YAY~~~!!!!!!! It was so nice. The servers were soooo nice and the buffet was great.

When we got home we took a nap. Then I got on here to catch up on things and then I worked on my menu. I like to make the menus for breakfast lunch and supper and for each day write out what I need to do to be more prepared for the next day. It's like having my brain on paper.

Last night we had movie night with finger food. So we have leftover finger foods for supper. No cooking for me~ ! I do have some cleaning to do in the kitchen though.

The bad in all of this fun is that I have a cold. Now I am teetering between calling Mama and telling her she might have to get someone else to take her Monday... or do you think I'll be miraculously healed and not contagious by then?

So, I have the kitchen to do and then some laundry to get our clothes ready for church tomorrow. I hope you are having a good weekend too~ !

So long.
