Just Hang On!

I keep telling myself that it's gonna' be warm in another few days! It's been so cold here the past few days. The sun's been shining after a few well needed days of rain; so I am thankful for that. Sunshine is soothing to the body and mind just as SONshine is good for the soul and mind.

This past weekend was another very, very, very busy time. And again on Monday I was looking for the weekend to rest. Then I realized that we HAD our weekend. This has happened the past two weekends. I am hoping for rest this coming weekend! Well, actually I am hoping for sewing time this coming Saturday. I. have. to. get. those. dresses. done!!!! Eeeekkk, I didn't think that it would be so hard to carve out the time.

For you prayer warriors, pray for something that I don't know if I should mention. So I will say that it has to do with hubby and some of you know that situation.
So as I feel compelled to ask I cannot say too much more. I will have to say that it's happening right now. But we may see results from it very soon. And if that one pans out then we hope to see results from another.... Get my drift?

Maleesa, an online friend of mine, asked how I cook my potato cabbage soup. It's one of those things that isn't measured but is easy to fix anyway.

Boil your chopped cabbage in a big pot/dutch oven.Throw in a bay leaf or two. Add peeled and chopped potatoes. Add in some chicken bouillon cubes. Meanwhile, fry some bulk sausage. Drain and add to the soup pot. Unless your sausage contains sage, you can add in some sage as well. Now pour in some milk and salt and pepper to taste. Heat through. I like to make some cheesy cornbread with our soup.

Last night we had vegetable soup and have enough left over for tonight. Tonight is midweek worship night at our church. So, I am thankful to have something easy to heat up and eat quickly. I try to have such things on church nights.

Last night we found the neated calculator at the Office Depot. It's a math drill calculator. I bought it with our Samuel in mind to help with multiplication tables. The child is not convinced that he needs to know this. So this is the current struggle right now with him.

As for all other schooling, we are moving along at a hit and miss rate. Some days I feel like we are going without a hitch and then other days it's a struggle, minute by minute. Yes sir, the Lord is needed in so many ways!

Okay, so I am off to wash bed sheets. I had been getting up in the middle of the night to wake our oldest bed wetter. He'd go potty and back to bed. We had success seven nights in a row and then suddenly the past two nights he woke up wet. What disappointing news! I am going to have to get him up earlier...about two hours after going to sleep instead of the five or so I've done the past two nights. I have read that if you do this for a month or so that it can get them in the habit of getting up on their own.

Have a great day in the LORD!
