Easter Weekend and a Monday

I am hoping that you all are having a great post-Easter week! We are moving on and getting things done. Saturday was super-busy. We had church visitation in the morning, we had lunch at church and then did some cleaning and maintenance. This went well, I think. We cut up some chickens, showing how we do this and a friend showed how to cut how the pully bones! So that was good to learn. We came home that evening and prepared for the next day.

Sunday we stopped by the store before going to church as I had a special lesson to do for Sunday School and didn't have everything. We had a very good morning church service- the sermon was great! After church we went to my parent's home for Easter dinner. We enjoyed talking and the meal was great. When we left, we had just enough time to come home and sit a few minutes, freshen up and head out for the evening church services at a fellow church across town. The evening services was great! The singing was wonderful and the sermon was thought provoking!

During dinner on Sunday my gums began feeling terrible! My gums felt like they had been run through a meat grinder and were swollen. During the evening back home we decided that I needed to run in to the dentist whenever they could fit me in. So, Monday morning things were no better. I went in and thankfully my teeth were fine. The dentist explained that I have a semi common virus. As long as no one eats after me, they should be okay. This virus usually includes fever, achy flu-like symptoms and the swelling moves throughout the mouth. I was given some pain reliever rinse and told to call back if things get very bad so that they can do something else for me.

Today the swelling has moved some, but it's more bearable where it is now than where it was yesterday. Work continues on....life goes on. It isn't too bad to stop productivity. :D I am thankful for this in a way as I couldn't understand why all of a sudden I had obtained gingivitus or something. Ha!

We did not do any school on Monday. We usually have school only 4 1/2 days a week anyway. So that was our extra day off. The rest of the week really has to be top notch work as we plan on being gone next week.

We had pizza for supper last night. Bethany (8) mixed up the sauce and did fairly well! I did the dough and Joy-Anna and Gloria put the cheese on. It had been over two weeks since we had pizza so it was nice to have some.

I hope that this virus clears up. It isn't fun when your mouth hurts.

Have a wonderful day with your family.
