Hello!

I wanted to compose a quick post before I had my "nappy time". I'm bad about my naps. :D
Since I haven't posted since Friday I wanted to touch base. We had a good weekend and have been busy bees as always. You know, when you don't journal your days, you sort of forget what went on! Here's some things I wanted to share:

I bought 21 whole chickens yesterday at a local grocery store that had them on sale at .79/lb. I'll have to post what I did with them in another entry as that could be a long one.

While at the grocery store yesterday, someone felt compelled to steal my groceries, right as I was paying the cashier. The bag lady and customer service lady retrieved them before the person got away with them. You know, you work hard at earning money to eat and then to stretch your food dollars to make ends meet and then someone tries to swipe them out from under your nose. Amazing!

Our garden is doing so well! I really hope it continues. We have our first tomato bloom. If this continues, we will be swamped with goodness.

Food for thought: Hubby and I were discussing memories and he shared with me something that he recently heard on the radio. A fellow asked a crowd of people to list 10 favorite things they got for Christmas as a child. The crowd as a whole could only think of a few, if any of the items they got as gifts. Then the man asked them to write down 10 memories of fun things they did with their families while growing up. The majority of the group could list 10 things easily and many went well over as it was fun for them to list all those memories. This goes to prove that it doesn't take a lot of money to make your children happy. Those expensive junk toys will eventually land in the dump but memories of having fun together will last much longer.

Okay, so now I'll go. I will have to start up chronicaling our days again as I hate that I don't remember much unless I write things down. :D Of course, this is a challenge when you are super busy.

I know exactly what you mean. If I don't make a post I forget what we did that day. I like your food for thought. I think as a fun thing to do, we will do it as a family. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your day and God bless.

Hi Susan,
I just love when you post about your days...have been missing you.

I'm sorry that happened to you with your groceries, but so glad you all got them back. I just don't get some people.

What a sweet thing about the Christmas memories...so true.

Love you my friend,
Cathy
