September 11, 2012

Yesterday went fairly well. School went pretty well. We stuck to a few basic subjects but, boy, I have been very encouraged in the education department lately! I just hope that we keep seeing progress. As long as there's progress, we'll come to our goals eventually!

Yesterday I concentrated on cleaning the livingroom. It was neglected over the weekend. I did a lot of dusting and wiping things down. I had the reward of putting out fall decor when I was finished! It is usually at this time that I put it out. I did not put much outside as I'd imagine Daisy destroying it. We are going to train her on the underground electric fencing soon and then I may put some out. I did hang our fall leaf flag out and put out our "Happy Fall Y'all" sign. All of the decorations we have for fall was bought used except for a few leaf garlands we bought for $1 each, years ago. The fall things will stay out until it's time to decorate for winter (snowmen) and we'll put out a Nativity scene.
I will have to take a few pics of some of what "we" did soon.

I was not looking forward to supper until I tried the recipe from Noreen's Kitchen off YouTube! She had just posted a chicken cacciatore recipe and it just so happened that I had most everything here. It was very good and a crockpot meal, which is a bonus. I scarcely have time to put our crockpot away before it's time to pull it back out. :D

We are establishing a movie night in our home. We have started a running list of good, family friendly movies. We're excited~! So we can have pizza, sandwiches, finger food, popcorn and /or movie food that night AND we'll eat in the livingroom, provided rules are followed. :D
We are very selective in what we view. I feel a need to be more and more picky as time goes on with raising children.

Okay, so today is Tuesday.... hmm... I need to sweep some cobwebs from around the house, pick up some trash that Daisy got a hold of, mop the dining room and kichen floors, and do school. I will also do a few loads of laundry. I need to train the fellows some more in that department. I have a plan of the boys doing their laundry, the girls theirs, and I'll do mine and James along with all linens. Let's hope it works! :D

I think we'll have leftovers for supper tonight so I just have lunch to work on from here on out today. Yay!
Have a blessed day in the Lord!

I have my kids all do their own laundry. As we line dry every thing, we had to walk Emily through having to use a dryer at college.

I love crock pot meals. Our crock pot gets a lot of use on busy days.

Have a wonderful day with your family.

I am glad school is going so well! We did a Friday movie night for several months then Quentin's schedule got a little out of whack.:) We liked having popcorn, nachos, cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, and potato skins. Not all at once of course!

Have a great evening.
