HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope that you all are doing well. We are doing fairly well! I am greeting the new year with open arms. :D
Today we will have our traditional greens, peas and pork. I will fry pork chops this year. We washed, chopped and blanched some greens last week and so that won't take long to prepare today.

Yesterday I took Mama to have a check-up at the ENT doctor. He used a mirror to look down in her throat to see if he could see any cancer and he could not. She has been eating and has not used her peg tube in a week and a half. Her weight was at 106. Yay! At the end of January she will have the CAT scan done and this will give up final word of what is truly there. She will need to see a doctor every 4-6 weeks the first year to keep things in check. Thanks again for all of your prayers.

Well, we have been off on Christmas break and I've been busy half the time catching up on our mess here. The other half has been spent with the fun of the holidays and relaxing. I do have a lot I am digging myself out of because of being sooooo busy with Mama's treatments and coming home to do meals and school. Some cleaning was done but just the basics. As for the rest, I walked around with blinders on. : (. So I hope to catch up the rest of this week and be back to our old normal beginning next week.

Do you have any goals for 2013? I have A LOT of them. I know they all won't be accomplished but I have high hopes. Here's a few:
~ Be even closer to the Lord this year. I want to promote this in all of our family as well.

~lose some weight just by doing what I know I need to do...count calories by eating rabbit food, water and exercise. :D

~ play with the children more

Okay, so I'm off to do chores. Have a great New Year in the Lord!
