The Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. Well, let me start with Friday. Mama finally heard back from the doctor's office and there was no sign of cancer on her CAT scan! PRAISE THE LORD. I suppose we'll know more when we see this doctor on Tuesday.

Saturday, James and the children worked outside quite a bit. James dug a hole, and built a fire in the hole. He cleared some fence line and put the vines, limbs, etc. in the fire. Later in the afternoon he put some blocks around the fire and we put a big grate over the blocks. We then did ribs over the fire. They were tasty! We also did s'mores. The weather felt very nice outside for it to be January.

Sunday we went to Sunday School and church. Afterwards we had dinner and rested a short bit. Then we went out to Sportsman's Warehouse to buy James a warm coat. He is going to Wisconsin for a few days next week and will need to be warm. I cannot remember the time he has EVER bought himself a new coat...or a coat at all. The coats he wore were given to him. The ones he had were outdated and not nearly warm enough for Wisconsin. So I was thrilled he bought one.

In the evening after church we had our monthly fellowship. We had food and time to sit and talk. This is always so  nice. It was late in the evening when we got back home. We brushed teeth, changed and all went to bed.
