School went well today although I did not get to do school with the two youngest. I will have to catch up tomorrow. Everyone who did do school did a great job. Samuel is a wiz in a lot of subjects, grammar being one of them. Today was an encouraging day with learning.
We had a lot of chores as usual. Brittany dusted a ceiling fan for me and I vacuumed the hearth. The next thing I knew, I was vacuuming the cracks in between the hardwood floor boards in the living room. I have to take an unfolded paperclip or small nail to get the grooves cleared out and then vacuum up the trash and sand. It's a chore!
We had cheese grits for some of us and fried egg sandwiches for others at breakfast. Lunchtime we had meatballs in tomato sauce and teriyaki stir fried veggies. Supper time we had seafood. I baked some flounder with lemon-pepper, baked some bacon crusted scallops and sauteed' some shrimp in a skillet. We had leftover grits from breakfast and green beans to go with. Brittany baked some cookies for dessert.
We are still waiting word on Mama's test. This was in the back of my mind all day. Each time the phone rings, I jump and run for it. Mama said she'd call as soon as she heard...
