Hello!

BOO! I scared you, didn't I? Ha! I have missed being on here and really, each time I thought of posting, this computer was tied up. Well, I demand my rights! I have a Kindle of which is mine, mine mine but it is quite timely to post on there while trying to hit the little icon buttons on the screen. Just this little paragraph I have typed now has taken such little time. Sweet. So anyway, with this being the beginning of a new year I thought I'd start fresh. I hope to just little bits here and there of what's going on around here, cooking, dieting and budgeting. Well, of course, budgeting! Nothing changes here. Okay, so to catch up a bit. I did not do as good as I would have liked with the grocery budget the past three months but not so bad either. Here are the totals for each month. This is for the family of nine (ages Mom, Dad, 19,16,14,11,9,7 and 5). This is also for all food and non food grocery items. ~ October: $415 ~ November: $496 ~ December: $570 This is an average of $493.6666666666666666666 a month. I want to do better. Blah, blah, blah...pout, pout, pout. I have started a new log for all spending this month. I like it.I hope to keep it going all year long. I will continue to share our spending on groceries except I am keeping it divided between food and non-food. So, I will demand my time on here and as I can will hop on and post. Have a great day in the Lord!

Hi Susan! I'm so glad you're back! I think those grocery bills are impressive! I made myself a comfortable grocery/gas/non food item budget and my goal is to come in under budget each month. I'm using the envelope system so that whatever I have leftover I can use for (in this case, 2 of my children's birthdays in the same week!) I was about 80 bucks under budget last week, but I didn't drive much so that's why - that would have gone to gas normally. Only another 70 to go until I can buy my daughter the Barbie dream house for her birthday! Keep posting I love to read your updates!
