Oct. 27, 2005 - Pajama Day

Today was pajama day at our house! All participated except for James who had to go to work and myself who couldn't stand being in PJs all day. I really had to cope with the youngins being in their's all day.It just felt weird. So now the children want to do this thing once a month. We'll see.... I guess they thought it was cool doing school work in their bed clothes. It about drove me batty but then again it doesn't take much for me to have that to happen. So here they are.

School has gone fairly well the past few days. I actually got in a science lesson on top of the 3 Rs. We talked about eclipses. I think the school age children grasped everything alright. Samuel really impressed me with what he got out of the lesson. We are right on schedule with where we wanted to be for this time of year. Oh I just CAN'T WAIT for us to put in our book order to Vision Forum. We are going to order some G.A. Henty books. This will help us along with our history knowledge. We are also getting some Lamp Lighter books as well. I have heard of so many good things about both series. I like the older books that aren't so main stream in today's world. You know, those buried treasures that have been redisovered. I think tomorrow I will brave going out to get some groceries. Hopefully we can get out and in before the big crowds get into the stores. I have been trying to be creative with what we have on hand but it's been chicken, chicken, chicken. I am ready for some beef. Ooh-- maybe we can do something quick on the grill tomorrow evening. I am a little burned out on cooking and would like a break from the stove. Maybe we can do some simple hot dogs, burgers and chips.
