August Menu!


Per request from a friend, I am posting our menu for this month. The money shone does not include eggs or beef as we have some in the freezer.

Breakfast (the same thing repeated four weeks in a row)
Cheese grits and eggs (put four scrambled eggs in grits) $1.00
biscuits and eggs (fry 8 eggs, one for each person) $.50
pancakes and syrup$1.00
muffins (2x a week) $.50
oatmeal $.75
biscuits and sausage gravy $2.00
milk and juice to drink with breakfast $8.00

Lunch(same thing repeated four weeks in a row)
ramen (6 packs) $.75

egg salad sandwiches(use 10 eggs) and popcorn $1.50

baked potatoes topped with margarine and chili $2.50

Supper (week 1)
crockpot roast and veggies, rice and gravy $2.50
chicken and dumplings, green beans $6.00
pinto beans, potatoes, 1/2# sausage and cornbread $4.50
baked beans w/ bacon topping, rice and gravy $4.00
roast soup (from leftover roast) $1.50
cabbage casserole $3.00

Supper (week 2)
steak, potatoes, a salad $6.00
cabbage soup(w/onion, carrots, potatoes,stew beef) $3.00
Pinto bean meal $4.50
spaghetti ,garlic bread $6.00

BBQ Ribs, slaw and baked beans $2.00
leftovers FREE

Supper (week 3)
baked chicken, crowder peas, rice and gravy$4.00

cubed steak, gravy, rice and green beans $ 2.00

sloppy joes and fries $4.00

Snacks: popcorn, leftover muffins and pancakes, cheese crackers, PB crackers, homemade cookies, doughnuts (fried pop biscuits covered in cinnamon powdered sugar), homemade freezer pops( frozen kool-aid) ....
