Many Miscellanies

I trust that everyone has had a wonderful past few week. We have been so very blest and with great gratitude. James was able to take off last week in order for us to go to the annual church camp meeting. We were gone from Monday-Wednesday. Then on Thursday we spent the day catching up and getting ready for James to take the boys on a fishing trip with some others from church. They arrived back on Saturday in the late afternoon, in time for supper and to get ready for Sunday! Whew!

While the boys were away, we girls enjoyed time together being more leisurely than usual. We piddled in the garden and did minimal choring. It was nice for a change!
We also enjoyed a treat night of ice cream sundaes, complete with brownies, bananas,nuts.... hey, with no fellas' to cook for we wanted to taking full advantage.

While away at the camp meeting we did touch on school. But now beginning today we are in for the final race of finishing up for the school year. I am in hopes of no more breaks until we are completely finished for the year. June 5th should be the last day. Oh,glory! I can't wait! Until then, we must stay focused and disciplined.

Oh, but don't dare think that we will be goofing off with not much to do. Oh, there IS much to do! We will be spending much time gardening, canning and freezing. And then there's always the daily chores to simply run this household. And while we won't be knee deep in books there's always reading to do. Oh, the joy of reading and being read to....just to take time and breath in leisurely learning that soaks deeply within....to take the time to meditate and build upon what's already been learned.

This week we are to go and do our monthly grocery shopping trip again. Boy, time flies! It seems each month our budget creeps up a bit. I feel blessed to be able to utilize ways to save money, and yet blessed to have a bigger budget to work with.

Have wonderful week in God's grace!

You did what, in the garden??? Here in the UK, piddling means weeing in the grass. I can see the boys doing that, but not you and the girls! P.S. you don't have to publish this comment, just thought you might get a laugh out of it : ).
