Day 5

I trust that you all are having a great weekend! James is on call this Saturday so we are putting plans on hold. So I am going to do the usual cleaning and gardening. Oh and then there's play, talk and discipleship with the children. And tomorrow is Sunday so clothes need to be prepared to go..

Things are going very well with the low calorie diet. We finally got the Wii hooked up properly again and I was able to weigh myself on that. I weighed 154.9. I am in hopes to see a difference from that on Tuesday morning! I am officially classified as normal weight so that's encouraging.

Last night we had fried fish and hushpuppies. Boy, it was good! Would you believe me if I told you the meal cost approximately only $1.50? Well all it took was for us to buy 5 cups cornmeal, 1/2 cup self rising flour, 3 eggs and a tad of milk. James and the children had caught the fish. We had potatoes given to us from some friends from their garden. And the salad came from our garden. Oh alright, with dressing and bacon bits I'll bump the cost up to $2.00! I love those kind of meals. We also had pintos with stewed squash and cornbread. That meal cost even less. Gotta' love it with a big family. It goes to show that having a garden can really pay off. Today I am cooking a roast with carrots, celery, potatoes and onion. All of this is NOT from our garden. LOL I am thinking of joining a money saving contest for groceries out of a magazine. We'd have a chance to win a $1000 gift card and a year supply of Knorr products.

The total of calories from the past two days has been about 1825 and 1552. That's up from the first two days and I don't want to pass those numbers at all. Tuesday is the big weigh in day. I am excited to eventually get in the 140s...maybe in two weeks? Time will tell!
