I got up at 8:00 this morning. Before James kissed me goodbye he said that he hopes to be home for lunch. I hope he can!

I made pancakes this morning. It was not on the menu but seemed easier than oatmeal bake at the time. I got out ground beef to thaw in the microwave to fry up for spaghetti. I put the makings of spaghetti in the crockpot for supper tonight.
That goes something like this: 3-4 cans tomato paste, 2 cans diced tomatoes, ground beef, spaghetti seasonings (we buy the big container of Spicy Spaghetti Seasoning from Sam's), onion and sometimes bell pepper that's been cooked with the beef, salt, garlic, sugar(to cut acidity) and a little olive oil. Sometimes I'll add a can of mushrooms and black olives.

In another crockpot I put together the makings of mac and cheese for lunch. This would include: boiled macaroni noodles (about 1 pound), shredded cheddar cheese, velveeta type cheese (bought from Aldi), milk, eggs, margarine, 1 t. mustard powder, salt and pepper. I had some more macaroni left so I made that into a little bowl of pasta salad. I just added some ranch dressing and bacon bits and stirred. It's in the fridge to go with something soon.

I used the same water I used to boil the macaroni noodles for the spaghetti noodles. The water was hot and ready to go so I didn't waste gas. So, all meals were ready to go by lunch.

I worked at cleaning the kitchen and dining room- food-wise and construction-wise. We had our house appraised a few weeks back and trying to clean up construction mess in order to have the house looking descent was a chore! I mopped the kitchen floor and plan on the dining room side to do later....maybe even the living room today as well.

While working I called my mom to see how she and the family is doing. I wanted to thank her for the table and chairs she gave us as well. We had a nice talk.

The children tidied up a bit, Brittany practiced the violin and played the piano. Dalton and Jesse played on the computer. Bethany rode her brother's bike while Gloria and Joy-Anna played outside a bit. The sun is shining and it's another beautiful day amongst the crumbs and chaos! :D

At lunch the children had the mac and cheese while I had that and a tomato salad. I tried having a smaller portion on the mac and cheese.

After lunch we dove into math. Well, we dove but we crashesd when I flew into a brick wall with Dalton's Algebra. I am needing to go back a few lessons and relearn all this. My favorite subject as a youngster is one of my least favorite this week!

We then got ready for church and went.. The sermon was great! The prayers were great! A babe in Christ prayed tonight. Talk about real. I LOVED IT. It was simple but soooo beautiful.

After church we came home, talked and then went to bed.

Love you too, Cathy! Did I tell you that I want a St. Bernard! Long story but I saw one in town about a month ago and it was love at first sight. Ahhhh! We can't afford one now but I will hopefully one day. :D I just wanted to give that dog the biggest (well, it would have had to have been a big one) hug!
:D Susan
